Here you can catch up with what's going on with me on a regular basis and read about some of the underlying concepts in my work.

Had an interesting meeting today at Victrola Coffee with Queen Shmooquan. I first saw her perform at the After Dinner Party. An art opening in dedicated entirely to the clitoris. Her performance was not only epic, but hillarious. She stripped down from a helmet and knee pads to show layer upon of ridiculous props. She had that something I always felt performance art lacks, entertainment value. There's no pretension, just power. May help her out some with a video-project and some props and see if we mesh together for future larger projects.

One thing I do miss about the East coast is all the friends that came to my side to help me complete an ambitious project or idea. (From Will Power to the Kaolin Series w/Rusty.) It's nice to be building an infrastructure of artist friends.

I also serendipitously met a woman named Lorrie. We instantly clicked over a jack and coke. Within an hour we were old friends. She used to make head-dresses for show girls and drag queens. How could I not be smitten? I'm confident she could teach me a thing or two.

Otherwise I've got about 10 paint-
ings I'm working on. The general
theme is "Making Friends with the
Monster Within." I'm beginning
portraits and then adding visual
symbols. There is both an element
of beauty and ugliness to each
image. I find that often the strange-
est things about us, the adversities
we face, are the most interesting

and beautiful thing about us.

I'm having a little trouble getting to a finishing point with them, and a couple of them I've begun some three- dimensional elements. It's been year's since I've painted.

Seattle Pride was amazing. The streets were packed everywhere. Love and spectacles abounded. Saw a lot of really cool performances including: Sharon Needles, Latrice Royale, Jessica Wild, JuJuBead, and Cazwell.

Had tons of fun running around with my roommates and meeting a few new people. Favorite part was getting to know some of the Sister's of Perpetual Indulgence. They're an order of drag queens that do a lot of community outreach.
