If you are interested in becoming a piece of living art, I'm gathering troops in the Pacific North West. I'm planning a giant art dinner party complete with a sky high Tower of Babel, made out of cake. Something soo decadent can only end in disaster. Delicious, delicious disaster. E-mail me at Wilsonj2@winthrop.edu. Tentatively I'd like to do it New Years day, just in time for the so-called apocalypse. Plus 5 months should be long enough to organize it.

Nothing ever feels quite done. I change my mind a lot, building up layers of content, Taking things in and out of my work. Sometimes I don't find the right context for something I've made for years. So here's a preview of things that aren't quite done yet. Watch em grow.

The majority of these are from a new series I was originally going to dub, "Making Friends With the Monsters Within." My goal was to present not only a portrait, but also capture some of their essence, their beauty within as well as their demons. As the series has progressed, I am seeing more beauty than monster within people. Perhaps they should be re-dubbed "Soul Portraits."

Here's the section of the site that will have a little more writing. Photographs and drawings will be integrated into the linear timeline. So you'll get a little more of the narrative about where my work is coming from, what my process is and what's going on in general.

Since the majority of my friends, family and followers live on the east coast, this will save me the trouble of writing you all individual e-mails.
